This is SARACEN first tutorial on streaming technologies, which should allow non-experts to understand later-on the encoding and content distribution proposed in SARACEN.

Streaming media is multimedia that isconstantly received by and presented to an end-user while being delivered. Streaming media usage has grown exponentially over the past few years for entartainment purposes, marketing, support for products, services and many other reasons.

To help the consortium visualise the end goal of the SARACEN project, CTVC created a short video mock-up encompassing some of the elements which might be found on a video page. Features include drag and drop tagging - of friends, geotags and other information - a time line to help the user identify where tags should be placed, social networking interaction and of course video playback.
